Tom Arnsmeyer


5th Grade Simple Co-Founder & Partner


Mr. Arnsmeyer is currently the Co-Founder and Partner of 5th Grade Simple (5GS).  Mr. Arnsmeyer co-founded 5GS with his partner Mr. Panzarella after selling their prior firm CPS Professional Services, LLC (CPS ) in 2014.  A successful business leader, management coach/mentor, Mr. Arnsmeyer has more than 38 years of progressive leadership and management experience in services and consulting. He held Senior positions with CPS, Wintara Inc., Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Federal Data Corporation and Grumman. As general manager of Northrop Grumman's Houston operations, Mr. Arnsmeyer supported NASA's Johnson Research Center and led operations, maintenance and engineering services for Shuttle Launch Processing at the Kennedy Space Center.


Mr. Arnsmeyer is a graduate of Rollin College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Criminal Law.  He also earned a Masters Degree from Florida's Institute of Technology in Computer Science 

Engaged in a span of community efforts, Tom Arnsmeyer contributes expertise, energy and resources, serving as a board member of the Homeland Security and Defense Business Council, and as Executive Committee member of the National Defense Industry Association. He became involved with Operation Smile in 2009 and continued his support after forming 5GS.


He has been a resident in Fairfax County since 1999.  He is married to his wife Tere for 31 years.  He has two daughters Lindsay and Kelsay, both graduates of George Mason University.  Lindsay is a teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools and varsity field hockey coach at Robinson High School.  Kelsay is the Contracts Manager at CPS.
